Two things happen when a teenager decides to learn the guitar: firstly, their bedroom walls will be plastered with posters of their idols. Secondly, they're going to annoy the hell out of neighbours, parents and siblings with their attempts to master the Hendrix Chord. So what if the former could be a solution to the latter?
Soundproof Posters are a series of band posters made entirely out of studio-grade acoustic foam. They create a sound absorption layer that isolates the room, allowing players to practice and naturally claim their rightful place as the next generation of rock ’n’ roll superstars.
The four designs were inspired by legendary players: Jimi Hendrix, Keith Richards, Zakk Wylde and Kiko Loureiro.
The posters are entirely made of acoustic foam, coated with fireproof resin and fiberglass. The illustrations were transferred to them using a new production method specially developed for the project, mixing 2D and 3D techniques.
Instagram, a favorite platform for guitar selfie videos, was a focal point of the accompanying digital campaign. Wanna-be rock stars could post their best riffs using the hashtag #SoundproofPoster for a chance to win a set of four posters.
